The Board of Directors of IC Federal Credit Union is thrilled to announce a proposed merger with Priority First Federal Credit Union, a strategic partnership that promises enhanced benefits for our members. The merger is already approved by our federal regulators and just needs an affirmative vote from our membership. The Board of Directors has unanimously approved this collaboration to create more value on multiple levels for both IC and Priority First Federal Credit Union.
All eligible members will receive a ballot and additional merger information via mail in mid-January. Please refer to the information packet for details on how to vote and return your ballot to the credit union or in the mail with the self-addressed, postage-paid envelope. We must receive your ballot by 5pm on February 26, 2024 for it to be counted.
Why are IC and Priority First pursuing a merger? Over the years it has become more and more difficult to stay on top of new technology and advances while still providing the financial services needed by our members. Additionally, after 23 years of dedicated service to the credit union, our long-time Manager will be retiring. All options were evaluated and the board looked at partnering with another credit union as a way to increase member products and service while being able to maintain our current location. This strategic collaboration will empower us with the necessary resources to elevate the level of offerings extended to IC members. Most importantly, we remain committed to delivering the same high standards of personalized services that has defined our relationship with members throughout our history.
How will our members benefit? Priority First has many products and services IC currently is unable to offer including: cash deposit/withdrawals, debit cards, certificates of deposit, IRAs, online/mobile banking, remote deposit, bill pay, real estate loans, indirect auto loans, credit cards, commercial loans and business services. All of these services will be implemented at IC’s current location as soon as possible. Additionally, members will be able to utilize Priority First’s 5 branch locations and approximately 6,500 surcharge free ATMs. Priority First has the following full-service locations:
Are my accounts still insured?
